Looks like we were in the same place at around the same time, judging by how the sky looks.

The West Side Jewish Center comfortingly includes a fallout shelter:

Jesús es la luz del mundo. But no fallout shelter!

Doing the touristy thing and going go for a walk on the high line. But first instead I need to find the entrance... The high line is above, but can't see the entrance. Looking at a giant train yard which will have a giant skyscraper complex above it in 5 years:

Found it! Now on the high line. Meow:

Cold, windy and drizzly weather dissuaded most tourists. But there were some:

giant apartment building on left:

not sure what this is about:

some greenery. Perhaps the heat island is helping the leaves:

Another church:

cross with another big spiky thing:

Rain got harder, hindering picture taking. Felt colder and windier now, being close to the Hudson River made the wind worse:

Buildings getting lost in the mist:

Random mix of stone and asphalt paving on this street:

no one's using the outdoor seating:

crowded subway. was even more crowded before the previous stop, but it was too crowded for photos. Nice and dry down here:

After sunset:

Walked along the reservoir by Central Park. Was deserted for part of the time I was there, maybe the cold rain and wind discouraged people. Found this guy:

Spoiler

not scared of me at all, even walked towards me. Found another exciting puddle:

Cool pics. Makes me miss Manhattan.

Nice. I'd take some images of the Christmas lights in Leeds, but they're so cheap and tatty, I'd rather not.
