But it's not November. It's early October. It's barely a month past the end of summer, and at least two months till winter. Ok, you've gotten a chilly November and seen snow in November. I'm not sure what that has to do with October photos. Your November 2010 looks like an autumn month to me, though a chilly one (borderline?) the average high for the station I found was 8°C.

Here's one from this afternoon. It was a beautiful day. The high was 37F / 3C, but the sun felt nice and there was never more than a gentle breeze so it seemed warmer.

Owen's Nov 2010 looks like the depths of winter.

But it's November, which makes it autumn, not winter. The meteorological seasons are fixed, the astronomical ones can vary by a day or 2.

London's November 2010 was awful. The 27th-29th were the coldest November days ever at Heathrow.

Hopefully this November and December are like these 2 months..

That's my favorite part of the state. I have a client in Sun Valley and I always take the slightly longer but stunningly beautiful route that follows the Salmon River and the Sawtooths.
