There's no snow in the valley and only a tiny bit of snow left where I live. A storm is supposedly moving in tonight. We'll see.

Looking east across the valley

Still some leaves in downtown Victor, ID
Looking at your photos looks likes pure winter in Philly(minus the snowcapped mountains of course). Hard to believe we live in the same country.

It just seems so bizarre seeing CIDP's in Russia alongside snowcapped mountains. Very cool photos.

Went hiking in this spot in Central Connecticut. Trail was right along the edge of a hill.

Facing Northeast. Air temp 51F.

The panorama is hard to depict the valley. There was a pretty big drop right in front. I think this would be considered a V shape? Even though there was a lake and homes down below in spots.

Nice, though while the palm trees give it a nice flair, I really like the native vegetation in those photos.

Looks quite similar to here. Btw, those cliffs (metacomet ridge) continue northward right to where I live. That small mountain ridge and cliffs I took photos of here:

Fall Photo Thread 2013

is a continuous of the same ridge you visited. The viewpoints is from on the side of it. Btw, both the cornfield and flowers are gone. Recent freeze have done in almost all plants last week.
