I have a friend who is in a base in Antartica at the moment. I can't wait for him to come back and tell me about it !

Definately Antarctica, my father has already been there when he was a sailor, even though he only visited the Antarctic Peninsula down to about the Southern Antarctic circle.

In my case, i would probably either take a trip to the South Pole or to enjoy a much richer fauna to Neumayer III station which is located right on the coast on the Eckstrom Ice shelf.

Vostok station purely for the one off experience. I could go to a tropical island whenever I want, not so the pole of cold.

Antarctica in December no doubt.

Amundsen-Scott would be great just for being on the South Pole.

For a longer stay I would pick Showa Station though. It's not cloudy as other coastal stations (actually much better than here in December) and I could experience the unique coastal wildlife.

Antarctica, easily.

Everyone I know who's gone to Antarctica has been paid to do so, although it's never for a vacation.

I've been to the Caribbean and Hawaii several times each. Never to Antarctica, and I would love to go there. And as probably stupid as it sounds, I would want to experience it during it's harshest weather times.

Antarctica. Absolutely.

I'd pick here:

A Mediterranean precipitation pattern in Antarctica! So a decent amount of snow, but not much rain. Summers are just as sunny as here, the annual mean is barely lower. Plenty cold enough but not often below -30.

As its right on the Antarctic Circle, there is a bit of daylight in winter and a few weeks rather than months without darkness. That suits me fine, one of my hobbies is stargazing and Antarctica has the darkest skies in the world, when it gets dark. So I'd much prefer this to the 6 months of daylight at the pole.

I'd go in October given the choice, but I could stick a year there I reckon.

I'd be happy going any time of the year but may choose December or January so I could see their summer in the Southern Hemisphere tropics.
I picked A also.... Just warmer and more chance to really try to enjoy yourself!

It isn´t impossible that I would take Antarctica. Well, it is not that I like the climate there but already the fact that you have been there matters. To pay a trip tio a tropical island by muself might be possible in one nice day, to pay a trip for Antarctica would be much more expensive and who wants to pay himself for such cold weather.
