Yuck to both- Cairo is wayyyy to hot and both climates are way too dry. Prolly Lima for having more comfortable temperatures. I don't mind visiting hot climates but I wouldn't want to live in one.
Cairo has more seasonal variation and a tiny bit more rainfall. Also, if it's not going to rain then it may as well be sunny, so Cairo it is.
