First beach day today. A bit of thunder and a heavy but short downpour that wasn't forecast, but otherwise a fun afternoon -although I did have a hangover.

Summer is in the air.

Post edit. It's an overflowing gutter downpour at present. This is turning out to be a good day.

Any other forecasts out there yet?
Melbourne still hasn't reached 38C this month.

In the last few days and currently, Sydney and areas north are finally seeing significant rainfall. I was really starting to worry.

Melbourne doesn't reach 38C during most November's. It averages less than 1 day above 35C during the month.

And it won't either. Every day is forecast to be 18-19C with showers and cloud. We won't even reach 90F/32C at this rate.

Those damn Perfffffffff Derrrrrrrrrrrrrrffffffs are averaging 30.6C for the MTD while we are averaging 20.4C. What a joke. How typical, how goddamned typical

A nice 2-3 hours of thunder around midday, with a few decent overhead. Temperature dropped about 6-7 C in about an hour though. Warming back up nicely, with sporadic sun showers.

Cool!... it's starting up again after a 40 minute hiatus.

Another round of thunder coming through (the third today). This one is unusual in that the cloud top is low, probably below 15000ft. The photo shows the cloud coming in from the sea.

Just had another evening storm. The clouds just rolled in - lots of violent thunder, heavy rain. Now almost as quickly as it arrived, it has departed....

I've never caught a decent lightening strike on camera - on my photography bucket list!

Today and yesterday here provided the kind of tedious cloudiness I have always disliked - rather mild and harmless, but nothing to lift the spirit at all - sunshine with the same modest temps. would have felt entirely different.

I'm fortunate in that both sunny days and cloudy balmy thunder days, lift my spirits.

We didn't get any thunder ... today has dawned brilliantly clear and I feel the difference already, before even leaving the house.
