I gave it a B. July & August nights seem to be very uncomfortable. Winter, spring, and fall are similar to the Northeast and seem to be OK.

Ours was ok too. Nothing special though. Here are the average maximum temperatures for that July in the Chicago metropolitan area.

I love the dryness - this means more sunshine. But the winters are too cold (they're still cold even by Russian standards though as they go below 0C). Summers are slightly too hot for my taste.

I give it a B-. The winters seem VERY moderate by Russian standards and there's seems to be a decent amount of sunshine. My criticism is there should be about 2-3 times as much rain and more sunshine and warm spells in winter rather.

Excellent summers, but inevitably ruined by the cold and cloudy winters
100+ hours of sun for each winter month could've bumped it to C-
