... When you step outside and the first thing you think is "this summer tempurature/weather is very ideal", so you look up the exact current temperature on your phone and make a mental note for use in your dream climate.

This was me growing up....

If as a kid....you made paper snowflakes and hung them from the ceiling in the summer because you hated the heat and dreamt of snow.....

If as a kid..you took your families encylopedia set and drew weather fronts and symbols on every country's map....

If as a kid....you played with matchbox cars and your brothers road set and took bath powder and poured it all over the road to simulate winter driving conditions.....

Currently...

If as a grownup and working as a meteorologist you still follow the weather on your days off and on vacation.

If as a grownup you get a smartphone just so you could have radar apps

If as a grownup and at work and you look for that first sub zero reading at Eureka Canada and dreaming of when the cold weather will come down to North Dakota....

If you'd rather have Oymyakon's climate than Singapore's.

You might be a weather geek if you tabulate averages of nice days to average out for your dream climate table.

You might be a weather geek if you wait with bated breath to see how the last few days of the month will impact the monthly average temperature that you're calculating.

You might be a weather geek if you look at long-range models and compute the likely seasonal snowfall total 15 days out.

Pretty much all our local TV stations can't be trusted beyond tomorrow or maybe two days out. Reliability drops way of after that. Sometimes stations can be 10 degrees of from each other.
