20.2C/9.3C today included. Should be above average for the next 7 days at least, so the month as a whole will surely be above.

As of the 11th average high is 29.2C at both Chicago airports. O'Hare has an average low of 18.2C and 19.2C at Midway. Northerly Island at the downtown lakeshore has an average max of 27.5C and an average minimum of 20.1C

A strong cool down the next two or three days will eat away at these averages, but a nice bounce next week is expected

We're down to a chilly 15.3C as of today.

That is below the 1st - 30th average high. So a very cold month overall by the end I should think, I'd say between 13-14 is still realistically our final resting place. This month may end up colder than October 2011.

I think that they are once again wrong about how this autumn is going to be very warm.

Average is 20.3C here so far. I imagine it will end up below 20C though. Just an average September so far.

Edit. Average low is just. 8.4C so far, rather chilly.

This is the kind of weather you should be having at your latitude.

Even we are far colder than you. And my 'record low' this month is a meagre 3c.

20.8/11.7 at Heathrow, already below average for mid-month (after a warm start) with more below normal temps to come.
