I'm surprised as well.... but I'm in NJ as it is.

Newark has cold Winters but it's hardly harsh compared to other areas.

I chose Perpignan, but it was actually very close, and I will say Newark's weather is superior.

Newark's winters are colder, and I'm sick of our (NYC area) winters, even though I like snow.

Newark reminds me of NYC. It has cold winters so it wins.

They're literally right next to each other, so their climates are virtually the same.

While I know some Californians who consider the winters in Newark (and adjacent NYC) to be cold, compared to much of the Northeast they are actually prettty mild.....while blizzards and snowstorms are certainly not unheard of, there are many times when it's rain and 50-100 miles north and west it's all snow for example.

I prefer Newark winters and Perpignan summers. Overall I will vote Newark.
