I'm a heat lover, but I am very inactive and sedentary. I know that some cold lovers are more active, cause they've said so. So I'm just wondering, are cold lovers more active, and heat lovers more sedentary?
If there was an answer for this, it'd be easily accessible on Google.. but I doubt there is. I'm active though, I enjoy running and cycling in particular, especially during fresh weather (below 50F).
I'm physically fit and VERY active. I'm rarely sitting for more than 30 minutes at a time. Even during movies I have to get up.
My work involves me standing and moving around for 6-8hrs. I split wood. Landscape. Household maintenance. Veggie Garden digging/planting. I Jog (not in summer), build things, walk dog, find the farthest parking spot when shopping. I HATE to be inactive. I actually feel like crap when I am.
And that's why I get sick and feel miserable in the summer. Because I live like a hermit inside more, inactive. Bring on the cold!
Count me in to the physically fit and very active group. Like cambium, if I sit in one place for more than 30-45 minutes I become very uneasy and want to get up. I go to the gym for 1-2 hours a day, I do insanity, play basketball, baseball, football, etc. I especially like doing these activities in temps below 60 F, but I do enjoy jogging when it's 90 F out because you sweat a lot and burn more calories.
I was not meant for sports (except I'm OK at football) But my legs always have to me moving even when I'm sitting down. I'll be shaking my leg or tapping my foot and people will be like "STOP DOING THAT!!!". If you call Track a sport, I run a lot because it's fun for me and usually relieves any stress I have.

Must everything be hot vs cold? How about those who love mild weather? 50s and 60s is probably the most ideal for physical activity. I had a housemate who like to bicycle commute. Didn't care much for heat, especially humid heat, just liked weather conducive to cycling. So, mid 40s to somewhere in the 70s depending on humidity.
As for myself, I like hot weather more than cold weather. But since I like being active, it's hard not to find very hot weather irritating, especially when humid. Dew points above 65°F are just a nuisance even if I can tolerate them sitting still.

For me I am a heat lover and very active. I love all water sports and swim 3-4 times a week at my local indoor pool. One of the reasons why my dream is to live in the tropics is that I can pursue water sports outdoors year round. I love the feeling of warm sun on my body while I'm in or on the water.
