How would the climate of India and Asia as a whole be if the himalayas disappeared and was replaced by a flat plain?

Probably more tropical air flowing northward into Central Asia from the Indian Ocean.

The Himalayas are what drew out co2 from the atmosphere ending the Permian warm event.

well the gobi desert would disappear for one. and asia would probably be an even more extreme version of north america. with blazing hot summer across the plain and frigid Arctic winters(kinda like the dakota's)

I'd guess Asia would be milder, though India cooler year-round, particularly winter.

I wonder if there would be still be a monsoon climate at all in places like India and Bangladesh?

I think these places would probably have a wet and dry climate, maybe still with a summer maximum but with significantly lesser amounts than those experienced during the summer monsoons.

Yes no mountains or plateau whatsoever. Almost completely flat from central siberia right down to the Indian ocean.

Interesting you mentioned the monsoon.

I saw a documentary on TV that mentioned the Himalayas are a big factor in driving the asian monsoon, so no Himalayas or Tibet plateau would significantly alter the climate for much of south and east asia.

Asia today does not get tornados of the extreme kind that occur in the central plains, midwest and southeastern parts of the USA. I am guessing that without the himalaya mountains and tibet plateau, conditions would allow formation of tornados in that part of the world. There would be more violent and more frequent clashes of warm moist air from the Indian Ocean and dry cold air from Siberia / North Asia.
