Its reaching blistering hot 86 F (31 C) here on Wednesday with sunshine and plenty of humidity , and the stupid media characterizes this as comfortably warm weather .

I don't think so. Philadelphia only averages 14 days, and New Brunswick 12 days, according to NOAA.

Average high is 19.1C/66F, so I say around 10-12 days above 20C in April.

For October, the average high is 18.2C/64F, so I'd say around 5-10 days above 20C

Around 1 to 2 days per year on average i would say.
Since 2006 we had a 20°C+ high in 2006, 2010, 2011 and 2012.

In 2011 we even reached almost 27°C on the 1st October, but this is really a once in a lifetime event
here, in those other 20+°C years we had 20-22°C at the highest.

San Jose California, everyday in October should be over 20c. But maybe a handful of cooler days could be between 15c - 20c.

Maybe 1 a year. Some few years 3 or 4, other years none. We tend to get quite a lot of days around 18C in October, particularly the beginning of the month anyway.

I am taking the real feel index into account when I said 20 days. There are several days when its below 20 C, but feels much hotter due to heavy sunshine and high humidity. If its too warm to wear long sleeves, then real feel temperatures are surely above 20 C.

What's the point in that? That's like saying you get 10-15 days per year over 100F, when in fact you only mean heat index. It just makes a climate sound much warmer than it actually is.
