October is in Paris one of the best months of the year-and it definitely is a well kept secret, balmier than may-with about 20 days hovering around 20°C , which is not bad for such a northerly city (Paris is 48° 52' latitude, very close to Vancouver's 49°...)

London averages 3 or 4 and the average high is almost exactly as Paris. When you say hovering, I guess you mean hovering below 20C right?
Wow. You guys in Finland really drop off quickly in the fall.
This week, all of southern Ontario and southern Quebec are above 20 C for maximums all week. This is above the average of about 16-18C for most places, but still not unheard of.
Most cities in the region have record October highs of 28-29C.
Even the November record highs tend to be well above 20C here.
The average for the entire month is in the mid 60's... but it looks like for at least the first 7 - 10 days this month we'll be looking at above avg. temps. We are already in the 70s today and the next 3-4 days we can possibly see 80s.
I am going to say we'll see around 10 days at or above that mark....
So that’s an average almost once every 3 years between 1941 and 1973 then just twice in 40 years since.
