I find the differences between March and April, then August and September, in your climate, fascinating.

London Heathrow September 2013

Avg max: 19.6C (-0.3C)
Avg min: 11.2C (-0.2C)
Mean: 15.4C (-0.3C)

Highest max: 29.5C
Lowest max: 13.5C
Highest min: 15.8C
Lowest min: 6.6C

Days above 25C: 4
Days above 21C: 7

Sunshine: 118.9 hrs (79%)

Cooler and cloudier than average, with average rainfall. If it wasn't for the warm spell in the first week, it would've been one of the worst Septembers on record.

Last year was even more dramatic in Balakovo.

March:

April:

Record high in March 2C on the 30th, high of 1C on 4 April, then 22C less than a week later.

And the drop in September was even more dramatic than here:
