*If I were you I would not consider living in a climate south of D.C. or NYC. when you grow up and move away. I myself would never chose to live a climate farther than 37 degrees from the equator, since I hate it not being 68+ F at least half the year, hate biting afternoon winter winds and hate snow that can stick around more than a week.

But you would probably love it here or in a similar climate, since we usually get 5.5-6.5 months straight with ZERO days reaching 60+ F.
Most people who live here consider that a flaw in our climate, but there are a few rare individuals who actually prefer it.
i actually prefer a climate COLDER than Toronto, right now i have my eyes set for Duluth, MN.

i would also like to live in the Interior of Alaska, bu that's too far away, though i do like to travel.

it's 45 degrees with thick fog and drizzle.

central Minnesota 30, sunny predicting a high of 60 for today.

We had 59 yesyerday at my place ( no wind) I walked down our long driveway to get the mail in just a T-shirt. First time this year.

Snow is disappearing, days are warmer, soon I'll be going bare-back.

(providing I don't look at Sunday's forecast) colder, rain or rain/snow mix

dixi--------I saw you mentioned Duluth ( nice city, I was there 2 weeks ago.

Very nice summers and you would like the colder climate.

185 days of temps dropping below 32 ( over half the year) 80 inches of snowfall per year, and January average highs and lows of 16 and -2

They only get 2 days a year (on average) with the temps above 90.

Yup, "the San Francisco of the North) is a good description.

I could never live there year around as the winters are too cold and too much snow.

Many people love living there in winter.

DX, I know you're quite young so I was wondering if you've ever lived in the cold or have you always lived in Ga.? There are times I think that some of us (me included) hate our own weather so much that we want an extreme opposite. Mn. is a beautiful state though~in the summertime, that is.

It is very nice here and will be great until Monday. It's 56 with no windchill and we're supposed to be in the low 60s today.

no, i used to live in FL, and before that i lived in Venezuela.
but, i've experienced your climates before, about 2 1/2 months the last five years i've spent time in Upstate NY, Chicago, Vermont, etc. I LOVE those climates.

for GA it's the opposite, it's a beautiful state~in the wintertime that is!!!!
