Deadwood got 38.5 inches of snow already. Rapid City got 11.5 and it sounds like the wind gusts out there have been hitting over 70 mph. We aren't supposed to get nearly that amount of snow because we're supposed to have rain/sleet first so our accumulations will be much lower. Not good though.
Will someone PLEASE send me some warmth???

You know ILNC and I would if we could! Are you getting any storm yet or are you expected to?
It's 70 degrees in Dallas right now.

OH gosh, I'd head for Dallas right now if I could get out of town.
Deadwood has a total of 44 inches of snow so far. They actually have a meteorologist from TWC stationed up in Bismarck, No. Dak.
It's starting to hit us here. We've had several hours of rain and it's now turning slushy. It's 32/windchill 20. At 7 pm, they closed the interstate from here (Mitchell) for anyone going west. It's not horrible yet, but the winds are really supposed to come up. Right now our wind gusts are 43 mph, but out West they were over 70 mph. and it's heading our direction. My immediate area is only supposed to get 3 to 6 inches of snow and fortunately, part of that has already fallen and melted. I don't like this.
Kinda funny how TWC is acting like it's an unusually early snowstorm and just so rare. Unfortunately, it's really not rare.

Yeah....dosen't SD usually get their first snow sometime between Mid-Oct and Late Oct? Well anyways.....stay safe Jammie!!!
I should go up to Deadwood right now...... .
If I was TWC.....I would've sent a reporter to Deadwood instead of Bismarck, ND, since when the Dakotas get hit with a blizzard the Black Hills usually catch most of the snow.....oh well.....Bismarck is getting hammered anyways.
