In Northeastern Calif its supposed to be 22 at night and 50 during the day. Those temps are supposed to drop down to 19 at night and 48 in the day by Tuesday with rain and snow showers.

Beyond September, I don't pay attention to what the weather will be like here in Chicago. I already know. For the next eight months it will be cold, gray and mind-numbingly cold every single day, with wind so freezing it feels like icepicks are being driven into your skull.
Thank god I don't drive.

Well, I don't feel so bad this year. We're having the start for a fourth miraculously nice winter. It is 27 with a windchill of 18 and still no snow! Are we finally getting more in sync with the rest of the nation instead of horriffic cold and snow for 7 to 8 months of the year????

Oh yea, I'd love to. I'm still searching for that perfect warm spot to live in though. We're hoping to take a late winter trip to the desert. Maybe that'll be warm enough for me.

Jammie, as much as I know you love Oklahoma I've got a feeling we're still too cold for you. 34, right now. It won't be as bad as SD, but 5 months of the year you'll be too cold most of the time.
I haven't been to any warm place that I enjoy. I've been through Mississippi, Alabama and GA but didn't really enjoy feeling like a minority when I'm caucasian. Not that it's such a bad thing but it was major culture shock walking into a resteraunt in Mississippi.
I'm sure there's a warm place that I'd like. But I've yet to be to a warm place I've liked. I guess San Antonio would qualify though and although I was young when I went there, I liked it fine.

Nameless, I think you're right. We really do love Grove. But I've followed your weather for three years and it does get the coldness that makes my fibro flair up. I couldn't believe this, but the past couple of mornings Grove has only been about three degrees warmer then it is here. THEN parts of OK had a snowfall. AND last year Grove got a 10 inch snowfall. I understand it was sort of a freak thing, but still.....
And I agree~I just don't know if some of the Southern states would be right for us either. I really like the people in the Carolinas, but I don't feel well there. (sort of an allergy type thing that I've never experienced anywhere else) Florida has beautiful weather (most of the time) and we also have relatives there, but there are so many issues there and it's very expensive. Texas interests me, but even though DH also likes warmth, he's not fond of humidity and southern Tx. has a lot of that. It's interesting that you mentioned San Antonio~we've never been there, but it just seems like it'd be a nice place. We started searching three years ago already and we're now down to four months when we'd be free to move if we'd like to. I thought by now we'd be counting the days to move to our perfect spot. But alas, we're still searching. We've never been to the desert before and we're now doing some research on it and hope to check it out before spring. I know it'll be a tremendous change from what we're used to, but I really like their weather and it seems like it has a fairly decent cost of living. I know that I have to be sure about a place before we move cause DH isn't a mover. You have no idea how hard it was for me to get him to move 12 miles and that was several years ago. I used to enjoy checking out an area in hopes that it'd be the place for us. Now I'm just ready to find the right spot.
