If you're referring to my area, YUP~that was our biggest problem. We didn't get a lot of snow, but what fell kept blowing around and visibility was very poor. Our actual temps weren't horrifying, but our windchills were really bad.
It is warming up a BIT. Right now it's UP to minus 10 with a windchill of minus 30. I don't exactly understand how that works because our winds are down to 11 mph, but our dewpoint is minus 18 and that also has something to do with it. It's supposed to be cold until Thurs. Very early this morning TWC said it was minus 11 with a windchill of minus 38 and of course, that's according to the new version of windchill. Probably would've been about minus 50 in the past.
LV Drunk, I like your name. You'd better warm it up out there cause I'm heading your direction in a bit over a week.

Jammie,
I don't know how anyone could live for extended periods in that kind of cold. That's just inhuman.

The proper gear makes all the difference along with many layers. Wearing double layers of socks with insulated footwear is a must.

I'd be layered so much that I would look like that little kid from "A Christmas Story!" I'm almost layered that much as it is. It's only 26 here and it looks like sleet is on the way.
