We really are having a heatwave, Warptman. BUT we're bracing for some major winds and a bit of snow right now.
It's actually 32 degrees/windchill 22. They figured that by tonight our windchills will be about 20 below. It's those cold windchills and the temp fluctuations that are really rough. Guess I'll just enjoy our semi-warm hours right now. By 9 am the winds and snow are supposed to be here.
7° F (-14°C) We're headed for a "heatwave", high 20's today, with 2" inches of snow to come later!
I'll take it because tomorrow the 7° we have now will be the high! 2" isn't a big deal but it will blow around because of high winds that are coming with the arctic chill! Brrrrrrrr!

Jammie you know I love cold, but I think your temps may be too cold, even for me But I would at least like to feel that kind of cold once.

Well, come on up. Monday through Thurs. would give you a good feel of what it's like. We actually topped out at 33 with a windchill of 23 this morning. That was pretty decent. We've been descending ever since. Right now it's 6 above with a windchill of 32 below and that's using the new revised chart. Previously it would've probably been considered to be 40 to 45 below. AND the sun is out and even though it doesn't have much heating power, I just dread to see what tonight will bring. The winds are SUPPOSED to die down about 6 pm though. I knew you like cooler weather, but I don't think you would like it in the Dakotas or Minn. It really does get way too cold up here.
Debey, isn't this just a lovely day? Oh, I hate this weather.
NC, I think those of us "up north" would be willing to share our current weather with you!
We're still waiting for the front but it is coming, snow, too, which will be blowing around I'm sure. Its in the teens now, but falling, tomorrow we won't see double digit temps.
