Wow, that's cool. I didn't know that. I really like Denver, but thought it was too cold. I will have to consider moving there someday. I do really like the fact that it is much sunnier there. Only problem is they have no beach.

Don't feel like checking, but probably between 38-46 and a big strom is moving in. Could get thunderstorms and funnel clouds.

Why I ask is because we've been chilly, but have no snow, thus tonight will be our coldest at around 12 for a low. For the last week we've had lows in the 10's and highs in the 30's mainly, a day or two below freezing.

Yes, we have a little snow on the ground here in E Kansas, but some of it has been sublimated by the sun. The low here this morning was around 5F but it is already up to around 25F due to SW winds ahead of the next frontal boundary.

Oh man, now we have snow on the ground again, too. It snowed overnight and is still snowing this morning. No big accumulations, but any amount is too much for me.
It is a beautiful 5 degrees with a windchill of minus 13.

East Grand Forks MN
-21F when I got home from work at 830 am...no wind clear sky. High today about -7F. About 8 inch snowdepth (give or take) most all of that fell back in early December. Had only 1.2 inches this month....but snow here stays forever on the ground as it rarely gets to 32F this time of year.

Dan,
I just looked at the 12Z GFS model and it shows a rather impressive warming trend over the next 7-10 days for the Central Plains. Do you think that the temperatures will likely rise above average over the next week or is the GFS over exaggerating the warmer air?

57 and raining here at 3:30. Its supposed to rain all week long.

Humidity affects either side of the temperature swing it is on. If it is hot, it seems hotter; if it is cold, it feels colder.
