as you can see, the average low in Jan/Feb is 59. so 57 is not very cold, it's more like average.

OH your temps in the Hills make me so envious. It's a whole 12 here and the windchill is -8. It's dropping fast and we have a windchill advisory through Sun. morning. They're talking about -20 to -30 windchills. BRRR.

The thing is, in recent times Jan and Feb average minimums have been closer to the mid 60's. So 57 is unacceptable indeed.

Oh and this morning, one outlying suburb of Melbourne got down to 40. Thats right, 40! Exceptionally cold low 40's minimums plagued parts of the state last night. We are talking temps 20-30 degrees below average. Truly disgusting.
