Phoenix is still crap compared to Lake Havasu City though, one of the most incredible climates anywhere.

If I am reading that map correctly, Phoenix had 38 lows over 80F, but Tucson none?

Average (1981-2010) is 20 here. Most ever is 45 in 2010 and least is 0, last in 1959. In recent years the least was 3 in 1984.

Somehow we've recorded a low of 80F in March (What a heatwave that must have been) but never in April.

They don't occur every single year, but they occur more often than "once every other year". Last summer I recorded 3 in a row.
