This is the scenario I'd love to see:

San Jose will get its first snow accumulation since the late 1970s AND it's largest snow accumulation in recorded history due to a cold low pressure system dropping from Arctic Circle that manages to pick up some moisture as it barrels towards us.
Dream Christmas Eve: low 25 F and snow falling at a steady pace accumulating to a record setting 6 inches.
Christmas Day: Snow flurries continue falling during the morning and then the skies clear out leaving behind the cold air from the system. Lowest recorded daytime high ever: only 34 F.
Christmas Night: Skies clear out allowing temperatures to drop to all time new record low for San Jose: 16 F
Snow easily stays on the ground for the first time in recorded history for more than 36 hours at sea level in San Jose.

I don't really care. Everything is fine. 20C high and 10C low would be a nice change of pace.

I would LOVE to see how Californians drive in snow & ice. It should be fun to watch, especially for us cold & snow hardened people from the Midwest & Northeast . I expect it to be something like this:

Spoiler
For heaven sakes, those drivers should slow down and should not slam their brakes

That's great Christmas weather . Spending 2 hours outside making a snowman and then drinking a cup of peppermint flavored hot chocolate is so fun. It happened a long time ago over here, and I still have an image to prove it (back then, I was 8, my brother was 4, and we lived in Western Nassau County, NY):

Mostly cloudy with a high of 30 F/-1 C and a low of 19 F/-8 C. A few flurries throughout the day. At least an inch of snow on the ground from previous snowfalls.
