Me oh my, talk about oceanic taken to the extreme! And at only about London's latitude too. I wonder if anyone will give this one an A.

I apologise if there's already a thread on this, I couldn't find one.

D for me. This climate is terrible, with 215 days getting less than one hour of sunshine -no thanks. It still gets warmer minimums in winter than my climate though.

I went to a talk a few years ago, by someone who recorded climate data there for two years - i think she said the temperature didn't get past 14C, the whole time. She also swam out 300 metres and rescued someone who had been attacked by a great white shark -tough lady.

Several corrections needed for the Wikipedia entry (surprise ...).

Raindays >= 0.2mm about 325, but 245 at the 1mm threshold.

Sunshine monthly data complete nonsense, though the total for the year is close.

Monthly sunshine means (1941-1995):

95.5 79.1 58.5 35.2 17.4 7.9 12.7 25.7 50.7 70.6 90.7 95.7

Annual 639.7, less in the last half of the record, with June <6.0 in that period.

From memory only the record high temperature is near 20C.

Lowest monthly total 1.3 hrs, highest 156.

Extreme annual values were 830 hrs (1943)and 479 hrs (1992) .

There are quite a few old posts on this place ...

Everything I hate in a climate. Siberia is better by a landslide.
