Brisbane averages 61 days above 30C but only 3 days above 35C.
Wyndham, WA averages 324 days above 30C, 209 days above 35C and 42 days above 40C!
Marble Bar, WA averages 244 days above 30C, 176 days above 35C and 87 days above 40C.
Wyndham is hotter, but Marble Bar gets more extreme temps and holds the world record for the most consecutive days above 100F, at 160.
Off the top of my head, I think it's Alexandra with 14. This is actually one of the coldest climates in the country, but it has a relatively high number of hot summer days due to it being further from a coastline than almost anywhere else in the country.

Given its altitude and latitude, it's somewhat warmer than many places in the southern 60% of the SI. Even ignoring these factors, it beats a number of low altitude locations north of it.

Wyndham though I believe holds the world record for most consecutive days over 90F (or 32.2C)= some 333 days in a row, that's a record I would not want to be a part of!
In NSW ,Tibooburra in the far Northwest corner, near the border with SA and Qld, has the most days a year over 30C with 141.
MÃ¥lilla is probably a good contender (also the current holder of the swedish heat record 38C). 3 days/year 1997-2007. but 20 of those days occured during 3 summers. some summers there arent any 30C-days at all. Just goes to show how ****ty this country does for heat.

It could be worse, you could live in Northern Ireland with its record high of just 30.8C, the third lowest in the world behind only Greenland and Iceland.

Yeah. The Kouvola surroundings are probably the equivalent here. Or maybe Lahti. And another fact is the big difference between 27C and 30C.

Middle Point, just outside Darwin, averages 337 days over 30C a year (2001-2012), 143 over 35C but a mere 1.5 over 40C!!! This is the most 30C+ days I could find for Australia. Looking at the BOM daily observation tables for the last 12 months from Oct 2012-Oct 2013 inclusive, I counted only 9 days under 30C.
The highest annual average high in Australia (1981-2010) is shared by Wyndham Airport and Fitzroy Crossing, both with 35.9C
The highest annual average temp I believe is at Wyndham (town site), with 29.5C.
