Wow! That just crazy! Does this happen often? Or is it another sign that we've messed up the planet's weather patterns.

Happened in Nebraska October 3rd. http://www.city-data.com/forum/31667453-post1221.html

It happens especially in the Spring/Fall when you get a dynamic system, but not often, . I would think more unusual for smaller states.

I feel very happy for you guys. We want snow here in central NJ, but never get any . I wish it snowed as much as it does upstate. Don't you love the pristine beauty of snowfall on the Adirondacks. Perfect for skiing.

Yea and all the storms are slamming us now. looks like we will have at least 6 hours of storms to deal with over night as the radar is lighting up like a Christmas tree.

Nice , we ended up receiving 3.43" of rain today, shattering the old record of 1.24" for November 26

I can't believe how much lighting there is geez. it's practically non stop over the western sky. according to radar(which always underestimates) there has been well over 100 strikes in the last half hour. The wind is beginning to pick up and the sound of the thunder keeps getting louder. looking at the radar the is a pretty solid line of storms that could cause wind gusts of 50 mph and bring small hail. I just hope we don't lose power as my house has bad track record during storms.

Winds gusting to 40mph+ here (again). 2.87" of rain. Temp at 61F.

These 60s are a sugar rush. They will crash back down in a few hours. Be in the 30s by 7pm.

994mb Storm is now centered over NYC area.
