I am a 53 yr old woman driving a 16ft penske truck and towing my dakota sport on a tow dolly. I am going from Boise to Colorado springs and leaving on Jan 1. I have never driven anything more than my truck and never towed anything before. I am totally scared about this, especially changing from I84E to I80E and Front St exit toward WY89N and left onto WY 150 Front St then onto Bear River Drive/I80BL. I plan on stopping in Evanston WY for the night. ANY advice on what driving conditions might be on Jan 1, 2014 and how bad traffic might be in the freeway area I mentioned, what the weather is expected to be all the way to Co Springs, easiest place to stop in Evanston etc would be greatly appreciated! Did I mention it would just be me, my dog and a bird? Oh, and I am not a night driver. And any tips for driving the truck and trailer PLEASE!
You would probably be better off posting this in the Boise or Colorado springs forums. The weather there is far too unpredictable to know what it's going to be like this far in advance, except for a general outlook that it might be warmer or cooler than average. It could be 50 or -20 in Evanston when you arrive; snowing, raining, or dry.
Thanks Crunch. I'm new here and don't know my way around the site very well. Thanks for the advise!
