That's an overstatement. Its winter lows are a few degrees above freezing - The July low of 3.6C (38F) is like a typical New York winter high. The daily mean would be much lower than, say, Sydney CBD. For 33' latitude standards that's far from "too warm".

Summers are very hot though.

It's not warm for its latitude, but it's warm for my preferences. I give it a C for the too mild winters and possibility of extreme heat in summer.

Winters are prone to occasional 0C nights. That's hardly "mild".

Summers do get very hot though. So I'm with you there.
