10:10am Satellite, Radar and Temps

Temps rising fast 70s into Long Island, upper 60s in CT but 50s still in Boston area... It's difficult to dislodge chilly low level stratocumulus with increasing atmospheric pressure.

Nice looking ocean storm out there.

Here's my day...

Left for party this morning warm and dry outside.
Was inside the place for 5 hours.
Walked outside and got slapped in the face. Hot like summer.

I guess I wasn't expecting it since I went in feeling ok.

Thank God for the low dewpoints. Going out to water the crop then sleep until fall. LOL

Rainy season may or may not have started today. There are a few isolated thunderstorms that have developed over the interior thanks to clashing sea breezes. All rainy season requirements have been met today(Avg dew points at or above 70, min temp above 70f, and SST above 80, and convective activity). But the NWS still isn't sure if it's here to stay with a low confidence forecast for this week. Until they confirm the start of rainy season will continue to post here.

You beat me...just wait til mid week. Although with less humidity there. How is there a heat index under those conditions?

Was just 1 degree extra on heat index but not sure. Exhausted right now. While my a/c is blasting inside the temp has dropped outside to 73F.

Check out the temps in the region. From 53F in Nantucket to 82F in Teterboro. 61 Bridgeport CT near the water 76 in Danbury just north of me inland.

Also... just back tracked the loop and surprised to see so many hail reports and big storms happened in CT (Eastern part). I hate partys. I miss so much. LOL. Looks like there was an injury. Lightning, Hail,(1 inch!) Thunder. All I know is I checked the radar twice and saw nothing for where I was or back home. lol

Nice, you beat me. We should have a contest who has a higher temp each day from here on out. Spring Summer the winner is the highest. Fall & winter the lower the temp is the winner. LOL

Canadians vs Rangers on now. Go Habs

Current OBS for stations in Connecticut sorted by Highs of the Day

Whoa. I'm in Long Island. Clear, not too humid (dew point 54°F). Some beautiful deep blue sky. Saw some puffy clouds a few in the distant looked like thunderclouds, but didn't think they were possible; didn't seem like thunderstorm weather at all.
