From about an hour ago... the video doesn't really do it justice, but you can still clearly see and hear the hail.

Nice...yeah we got lucky compared to what parts of PA went through. There was some serious updraft there. Looks like you got pea size hail or marble? Hard to tell. Put a dime next to it next time or a golf ball.

Few more cells coming which formed in PA. Gonna be a long couple days. Ugh

Would have been a good idea. 1.75-inch hail was recorded locally. Warnings for Gloucester, New Jersey : Weather Underground That seems about right for the largest stones. I have that picture of one in my hand, but there were larger ones.

As quick as it develops on the hills NW of me, it dissipated after me. Thunder, Lightning and a downpour. And the sun is out after the storm. Pretty common here with these pop ups..

Facing West here.

I did notice Low level clouds were moving Westbound while the storm was moving SouthEast. That to me signals marine layer was cutting it up and maybe that's why it choked off right after me.

You can see the rain drops off the trees and the misty fog in the back. Everything looking so lush and green. Birds are back out. Usually see steam off the pavement but temps only mid 50s. LOL

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden looks like here a month ago. Nice flowers shots!

Agreed. You made me curious, I'll check if mine has that option as well.

Some shots from this evening. Gotta love late spring with its lush vegetation and late (for us) sunsets.

Spoiler

Another lake

Probably one the closest things to a waterfall within 10 miles from the city center:

Wanna take a rest? Hard to notice on the pic, but a lot of white pollen thingys were floating in the air.

Yet another lake

Reminder that we're surrounded by city. This bike path doesn't look really pleasant.

Urban football competition. They could have chosen a more urban setting for urban football.

Telecom tower. One of the highest points in the urban area.

These are the huge fences I'm talking about:

Tower in the distance

Office towers looming over the hills

Dilemma

Lakes everywhere

What is this?

What kind of cataclysm happened here?

I prefer this:

Wanted to climb the hill on the right but all the paths were too steep:

Finally found this one. Better surfaced too.

6 miles from the Eiffel tower. Doesn't look like it:

A menhir called the friars' stone. It's a historic monument.

This construction looks more recent. I don't think it's protected.

Is this walkable?

Let's put some paint on the roadway and call it a cycle path!

Now this is better.

Note sure why they build some streetcar tracks this way. I've ridden a similar one in the northern suburbs. The streetcar is on rubber tires and is guided by a rail at the center of the track. It makes for a noisy and bumpy ride, probably costs about as much as a regular streetcar and is less energy efficient. I'd take a trolleybus anytime over this!

Walking bus stop

Not hint of leaf decay on chesnut trees yet

Nicer than average RER stop

Rozenn, nice!

That hole looks like a gun emplacement or a flooding reservoir.

Some pictures from the spectacular thunderstorm yesterday.
Taking from the 16th floor mostly in the house where i am living.

The storms also pushed the heat away, high today was only about 16°C in the afternoon, so feels quite refreshing now.
