No, because the data says so. Don't be a denier and only believe facts that you agree with. I posted the data and even a link to their websites. I can't spoon feed you any more than that. Do your own research from there. Good luck.
Doesn't really count as a climate scientist. He's not a climatological, he has no education in meterology nor does any research in the field. He has a degree in journalism, not anything science related.
Even so, the "scientific consensus" is not what it's made out be.
Nearly half of meteorologists and atmospheric science experts don’t believe that human activities are the driving force behind global warming, according to a survey by the American Meteorological Society.
Climate science experts who publish mostly on
climate change and climate scientists who publish
mostly on other topics were the two groups most
likely to be convinced that humans have contributed
to global warming, with 93% of each group indicating
their concurrence. The two groups least likely
to be convinced of this were the nonpublishing
climate scientists and nonpublishing meteorologists/
atmospheric scientists, at 65% and 59%, respectively.
In the middle were the two groups of publishing
meteorologists/atmospheric scientists at 79% and
78%, respectively.

"Climate science" is fueled in large part by the global warming industry. Few "climate scientists" would get very far in their careers if they did not tow the AGW line. Research dollars are not handed out for scientists to come to alternate conclusions about global warming. Climate science and politics are very intertwined. Notice how the figures drop substantially for non-publishing scientists: both for climate scientists and meteorologists.
Too bad most of you aren't old enough to remember the Ice Age scare/scam of the 1960s. Look what happened since. Warming trend. Seems like the masses are behind the curve with each trend. LOL Could it be because we can't predict decades into the future?
Just think... A kid born in 1997 now has his drivers license and maybe even in college or working right now and they haven't seen a global warming trend since they been alive. LOL!
So are they done making comments like that? Did they get enough money for their fund yet?
Leading polar researcher says Arctic could be ice free in Summers by 2010-2015!
Was it?
operative word is could. And that's one scientist, don't think that was a common opinion. The last sentence is correct, models have predicted less decline Arctic sea ice than observed.

because the "scientists predicted an ice age" is a myth that's been debunked many times on this forum. In fact I did so on this thread. I can't understand you persist on repeating it, you might learn something by reading.

A quick on woodfortrees, where you can plot temperature trends would show there has been a trend since 1997. No error bars available unfortunately. NASA GISS:
I keep mentioning it because its true and I provide links to it.
You should ask someone old enough if they remember. I did. Its pretty interesting to hear from them.
The Ice age scare was all over the place/news in the 1960s just like you know what now. Time to move on from the warming scam.
Maybe it was in the news, doesn't mean it was the prevailing scientific opinion. Did you read the italicized in the post I linked to? None of your links support that it was. From the wikipedia article:
Second sentence:
This hypothesis had little support in the scientific community, but gained temporary popular attention due to a combination of a slight downward trend of temperatures from the 1940s to the early 1970s and press reports that did not accurately reflect the full scope of the scientific climate literature
So NOT there
