44 years of this and Im done! I use to ski and snowmobile when I was in my teens and early 20s but I am at the point that I do not want to even go outside anymore in the winter.

It doesnt help that we average 120 inches of snow here in Syracuse and I am sick and tired of it! It is downright dangerous to try and get around in the snow. Just walking to your vehicle you have to be super careful that you dont slip and fall on the ice, and this is EVERYDAY all winter! Not just a day here or there. I am on a mission to move to a warmer climate down south.

Anyone else had enough of it?

Why dont you move down to Southern New Jersey then. South Jersey gets very little snow and typically receives cold rain. Temperatures are usually in the 40's, and its a close trip to the beach. Summers are not too bad either, and are cooler than the god forsaken south.

But when it does snow in the south, things go haywire. Delaware/South Jersey has decent experience in handling snow, so when it happens things are cleared on time. But bad snowstorms are not all that common down here (Besides this winter). Also take into account that summers will be insanely hot in the south.

If you're making the effort to move just because of weather go beyond Atlanta. It still gets snow almost every year, and even worse it is frequently right on the line of freezing and gets ice accumulation. And we recently saw what ensues. Once you get to New Orleans or Jacksonville there is nothing to worry about...

If you want mild, predictable patterns to winter with comfortable summers, then I strongly suggest you move to Washington, Oregon, or California. Besides, you'll forget about winter in a couple weeks.

If you think walking on snow or ice is dangerous, then get a snow blower and a bag of ice melt. Problem taken care of

You should be aware though many places on the West Coast don't have adequate air conditioning and that extreme heat events happen even in Oregon and Washington, though.

Ua, dnc, I feel you, we got hammered this year with the snow and early frigid temps. Totally sick of it. -10F tonight, -18F tomorrow night.

Try Santa Barbara - if you can afford it.
