London.

Atlanta's April is more like our July looking the averages and Calgary is a tad too cold for that time of year.
A high of 14°C is really fitting for me as an April maximum temperature.

Not really, at least in regards to temperatures. I also used to live in Lincoln, East Mids (warmer than yorkshire), and while it was as dry and only a little duller than the SE certainly, April/May was noticeably colder than the 12 years I spent in Berkshire. The temp stats would back me up on that.

Berkshire:

Looks like York's spring is only slightly cooler than Lincoln's, but Berkshire is significantly warmer than either. Sun and rain are about the same in all three.

April in Alberta is nothing but a cruel joke. Anybody who says they prefer it has obviously never lived here.

Definitely Atlanta. While the day is slightly too cold and the night is far too cold, it's still the warmest. My ideal high/low: 27/20c (81/68f)

This is the closest station to York, being about 10 miles away. I think this is probably the closest temperature wise, to conditions in York itself.
It appears York is slightly warmer than Lincoln, but certainly cooler than the SE. Thanks for clarifying that, I didn't realise there was such a difference.

I'd pick Atlanta but pack the Claritin, Allegra, Benadryl, what have you. The pollen is horrendous in April!

Calgary. The month starts with snow, ice, winter coats, and staying indoors, and ends with temperatures in the mid-20s celsius (~70+ F), shorts & t-shirts, cycling, and backyard parties. The world changes from black and white to full colour. April is one of the best months in Calgary.

Calgary does not average mid 20s in any month, yet alone April?

I'm not talking about averages, I'm talking about temperature range.

Weather stats Calgary in April: minimum = -10C (14F), maximum = 20s (70F)
