Apparently we *should* have heavy thunderstorm activity on sunday with 28c high

Hope this is true. Tonight we've had an episode of Saharian air, the air was completely yellow a bit before sunset, strong winds, I really thought we would get soaked but nothing happened.

My ideal summer week should be most days of stable sunny weather at 19/30c, some heat days at 23/36, some thunderstorms to cool things down a bit, a couple of cooler cloudy days at 25 max, then warming up again. And with dewpoints never going above 18c. Kinda what Eastern France and southern Germany are getting this year. They have an awesome summer so far. Ours is getting too hot for too long for my tastes, and getting boring. I never thought I'd get sick of the heat but we're getting there. I loved August 2003, but where I was was probably much less muggy, so that's probably the reason.

What you are describing is exactly what it is in most of Bulgaria now. It gets pretty hot, but not too hot, and it quickly cools down at night so it is possible to sleep normally. So far I haven't been to a country with similar summer, maybe only Hungary...

Forgotten username we can just be patient nothing more unfortunately. I hate sweating or feeling sticky but this is endless these days. Sleep is really difficult under these conditions too.
Natalya in which place in Bulgaria do you live? I am asking that because as I know Southern Bulgaria (Sandanski, Petrich) has the same weather as here.

On a good summer, that's what you get in Lyon / Grenoble, this year Freiburg is like this.

Some nights at 15c in july are very nice. I miss them a bit, it's constantly above 22c here lately.
