This past June in London would qualify as a notably cold January here. Look at our year so far! (Remember that Jan, Feb, and May were slightly BELOW average)

First warm night ("tropical night") in Norway this summer. Sandnessjøen (66 N) and one station nearby. Low was 20.6C.
Last part of the night not warm enough here.

I don't usually make a habit of writing off a summer before the halfway point, but I'm really struggling to see any road to salvation at this point. Things just don't look good.

I'm thinking this winter will be exceptionally mild as well.
