locally copious amounts of snowfall at the norrlands coast.

The snowstorm has hit with full force. In some quarters it has come close to a meter of snow. - I am tired. It's just snow, snow, snow everywhere, says Pär Antonsson in Övre bäck
Snowing already began on Thursday - and yet there are no signs that it will slow. In Övre bäck in Bureå outside Skellefteå, it has snowed 85 centimeters so far.

- It's like a natural disaster. There is snow everywhere, poor visibility and difficult to get around, says Pär Antonsson.

11-16 day Europe continues a colder pattern and the eastern 2/3rds of the US begins to see a colder pattern but nothing extreme just yet. Maybe near or just below normal...

Tornado near Rome..in November? That would be rare for Hartford and not common for that latitude in the U.S. (has happened in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, & Ohio a few times since 1950)

Earthquake, then Tornado, Central Italy is on a roll these days.

Anyway I heard some thunder last night and today was super windy on the hills with a sky that was half dark / half blue (when looking NE towards the adriatic). Quite unusual for here. Where's my fog and boring temperatures ?

Another video of the Tornado in Italy. What did we ever do before cell phones, and digital cameras, and internet....oh yeah...we rarely heard and seen things like this.

It was only 1 deg C on by bike computer when I cycled to work early this morning, that was just before sunrise so probably the coldest part of the night, it was about what the maps showed, a bit of a shock to the system. Its supposed to be another cold night tonight, then rain midweek then back to normal temperatures later in the week. Its been a bit colder than usual (mid January type weather) over the last few days but despite some of the 'doomsday' predictions on here its hardly anything unusual, it is November now after all.
