Buddy, there is nowhere on the map where the temperature was 3-4c above average. I just say normality (not avg) because Motril for example has seen many days this last month with temps +22ºC...

Where do you see 3-4c above average? Even Cádiz it's 2c under average with only 14c on the photo (AEMET averages). Alicante 4c, Valencia 7c... etc etc In Fuengirola a maximum of 18.0ºC is a totally normal/average day. The avg maximum of Málaga during January is 16.8ºC https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%A1laga#Climate official AEMET data... Fuengirola is a bit warmer tho.

what can you see, is 5-6c under average on the east coast of Spain... like in Valencia, or 9c under average in Palma de Mallorca, which had just 6c at that hour lol (maximums, minimums are in the average).

If you talk about the 20.2ºC on Motril, it's also totally normal; as I will show you below. Motril is even warmer than Málaga and that zone... because to it's location between mountains in the north, west and east which influences a lot it's mild temperature. I don't know the averages really, but here you go the maximums and minimums of Motril (AEMET port station) from 19th to 25th of December (I saved the XLS file) and from 10th of January to today. I also have put those temperatures before on this post: Climate talk: Europe so I will just copy & paste the data from those days. Here you go the temperatures:

19th of December 21.2/12.0ºC
20th of December 21.2/11.2ºC
21th of December 20.9/12.2ºC
22th of December 23.4/8.9ºC
23th of December 24.0/9.3ºC
24th of December 24.4/8.4ºC
25th of December 25.0/9.8ºC

10th of January 18.8/9.6ºC
11th of January 24.0/13.4ºC
12th of January 22.6/10.1ºC
13th of January 22.1/8.9ºC
14th of January 16.4/9.9ºC
15th of January 18.9/9.2ºC

16th of January 19.9/10.2ºC
17th of January 22.6/11.7ºC
18th of January 11.7/5.7ºC (cold wave enters)
19th of January 15.8/7.4ºC
20th of January 12.5/7.9ºC
21th of January 18.2/6.0ºC
22th of January 20.2/12.1ºC

As far as I can see looking at that data 20.2ºC does look within the normality. Doesn't it?? But like I said we don't have an official climate chart of Motril (for now) so we can't say anything about averages.

Here you can check the last 7 days: El Tiempo. Hoy y últimos días: Motril, Puerto - Resumen domingo 22 - Tabla - Agencia Estatal de Meteorología - AEMET. Gobierno de España if you want to check it...

BTW I take advantage of this post to put the actual temps in Europe:

No way in hell anywhere in Spain does a place average 20c in winter. You have one head way far south for that, don't even try to argue that it does. Normality yes though, but average not so much.

Yes I know, of course not! Who said that? Why would I try to discuss that with you if of course nowhere averages above 20c. Not even 19c. The closests are to 18c, and in official AEMET stations 17c (I talk about January, if we talk about the entire winter we have a few ones surpassing 18c).

Continental Spain better said. In the Canaries many places surpass 20c avg maximums but that's Africa.

Yea buddy. That's what I said, normality returned to south of Spain referring to that map, as it's not chilly anymore.
