Cool outside, but nice humidity. 74F and dewpoint 71F. 91% humidity is so invigorating at this temperature.

At least you tend to notice a cooler change by late August in NJ. Not so where I will be moving .

Another 45 years of crap and then I shall retire in Wyoming .

Wyoming summers can be hotter than New Jersey (minus the humidity).

Holy cow! I's 23°C outside and clouds cover less than 99% of the sky.

You my friend sparked my interest in something. I think the only way people would get it is to look at facts...

First let me say this... Last year I'll never forget so many people saying "usually I cant tolerate August around here but this year is bearable". They were right... it wasn't bad. .. So hopefully these warm Julys mean we're in for "cooler" Augusts.. We'll see...

But here's proof of something..... For the CT coast (BDR)... Do you guys see anything interesting??

Top Warmest Average Temps for July 1-15 period since 1948.

1: 79.7° 1966
2: 79.5° 2013
3: 79.3° 1974
4: 78.8° 2012
5: 78.3° 1993
6: 78.1° 2010
7: 78.0° 1994
8: 78.0° 1955
9: 76.4° 2014
10: 76.2° 2002
11: 75.9° 2011

Whats with the first half of Julys??? Last 5 years in a row been in Top 11 warmest.
The Max and Min are similar.
2014 in the Top 10 warmest.
Come on.

If someone would spark up a hurricane and send it upto EWR at the end of July and cancel my flight home that would be FAB

Great post. Can you check whether Richmond is the only major metro area east of the Mississippi to have reached 100F this year?
