That is cool when that happens. Must feel/look tropical there that moment.

Current Dewpoint Map. Checkout how far north the 70 goes. Syracuse at 70. Youngstown Ohio 72.

It's been windy here and so the 59 DP isn't felt.

As per map 70F dew point also in my neck of the woods, Hamilton and Toronto,
high was 86F here in Burlington today. Late afternoon showers cooled things off nicely.

What the average high for Burlington in June? Also how has this month been? Above or below average?

Been wet here too. Not quite as extreme as the Twin Cities

ORD is at 5.1 inches of rain, and MDW is at 7.2 inches so far this month. My suburb is at 6.5 inches

Summer Heat Waves Stunting. I might of been a parakeet in my past life (repeating things) LOL!!

Just wanted to show you what I'm seeing... The Trough over Greenland (aka Negative NAO/Blocking) is preventing the northeast from really getting hit with persistent, intense, long lasting hot weather or heat waves.

Any heat or heat wave that tries to show up will be stunted by Polar/Marine Air Masses.

Here's the Euro for July 4th

Basically this setup is screaming for 100s up to Virginia while maybe stalling in the 70s/80s Philly northward. I would say NYC northward to be conservative. Philly easily can be 90s this time of year. Muggy conditions too thanks to the Bermuda High. 594 Heights out there!

Bottom line a sharp thermal gradient could be interesting to see come around the 4th of July. 80s is the theme going forward north of NYC with 70s mixed in. Looks harder to get those 90s if this pattern continues.

Also want to add... the Greenland trough.... it's not just this one frame... it's been showing up for a while now and continues to going forward.

Average high in June is 25C / 77F
Running close to average, slightly below, definitely not above average.
No complaints, weather has been very nice and sunny this month.

Is that in F or C? All extended forecasts I look at right now don't have me going below 65.
