21c with a strong thunderstorm at 20:15. There are countless cloud-to-ground strikes, and this thunderstorm is probably the one with most thunderclaps I've ever seen, you just hear thunder every second (it's been like that for the past hour and a half), and we've had some very impressive overhead thunderclaps (with thunder occuring at the same time as the lightning).

Some places around Zagreb have had up to 42 mm of rain in the past hour and a half.

This summer is just packed full of excitement

I'd rather have that right now than the pure cloud we have here.

25.9C @ 21:10
RH 45%
clear skies, for 50 hours straight

High was 31.0C/88F. The Turkun lighthouse station had a tropical night, we didn't.

What qualifies as a tropical night? It got up to 30°C here today but nights are mostly in the 18°C range. Next week may bring some days with 20+°C lows.

Real tropical climates have nights much warmer than that and with sticky humidity of 100% .

Just a way to feel better 'bout the fact that scandy has a subarctic climate.

On-topic: Currently 21.1°C / 70°F here, after a high of 25.6°C / 78.1°F.

Better subarctic than subpolar.

I think the 20C treshold is quite commonly used in Northern and Central Europe.

Equatorial climates though will usually feature warmer lows.
