Umm. tall Trees can obscure houses if the area isn't dense. Especially from an airplane. I'd have to find better exempe s but this street it would be hard to see houses from above:
Eh. I drink more days than not each week, it's healthier than my college drinking habits...
I actually normally drink on Friday and Saturday.. so twice a week, but normally a lot. I've toned it down a bit recently, but not sure how long that will last.. a few weeks ago I was drinking most days, but now its settled down, especially after I got fresher's flu again..
Most people I know drink a fair amount. My housemate who is from Yorkshire walks back from uni each day with a 4 pack of 500ml beers and drinks them steadily.. it's just part of the student culture

Trees do grow over houses, like they have over mine. If you punch in my address in Google Earth and zoom in, you're not going to see what my house looks like, as it's all covered over in trees. And I live 13 miles from downtown Atlanta.
I do have to admit that I had misconception of how sprawled-out the Atlanta area was when I first moved up here, as I all I could see was trees from the ring road girdling Atlanta. I was thinking that there was just "woods and a few houses" outside the Perimeter - boy, I was wrong. We've got suburbs going 25 and 30 miles out from where I am, and I live outside the Perimeter (the ring road.)

That does sound like sound like near alcoholism to me. British drinking habits seem more extreme than American ones, and socializing sounds more drinking oriented.
