Chicago in january? Get lost. The average day will be colder than most anything i've experienced living in the uk, and i hate ice and snow with a passion.

No brainer ... MIAMI! Chicago in January is like torture to me. I'll never understand how people prefer ice and snow over the tropics. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

It's the heat plus very high humidity that make Miami's summers bad. Still, I'd probably choose Miami in August over Chicago in January. In my experience, cities are more alive during extreme heat than extreme cold, for whatever reason. I think humans are more naturally fit for hot climates. But like i said earlier, I'd rather my power go out in 25 degree weather than 95 degree weather.

August in Miami is ideal for me. January in Chicago is not cold and snowy enough so I pick Miami....
