Looks like a rather upscale building? Explains a lot. The most active nimbies are often reasonably well off retired people. Not easy to have the financial means and time to engage in long legal processes.

Really like the architecture there. Not being gridded is a plus as well. The Southwest Corridor sounds quite similar to the Coulée Verte in the southern suburbs of Paris. The corridor was first cleared to build a railroad, then a highway. It was finally used to build a HSR line, with a park above the tracks. It's the most agreeable way to reach the city center from the southwestern suburbs by bike.

Summer fun. Spent 40 minutes pulling Potatoes out of the ground. A 10 foot x 4 foot area yielded 188 Potatoes. Red Norlun and Yellows. Picked 5 corns too.

Warm Humid evening with bugs bugging me!
