I highly doubt it, seeing as how that's their all-time highest recorded temperature. I would say Yuma or Lake Havasu City are more likely to reach 50 C.

No...though we did hit 119 last summer in late june and possibly 120+ somewhere in the valley. If it does hit 122 it needs to happen within the next 2 or 3 weeks which isnt happening... or else the monsoon will kick in preventing that kind of heat. Record high for June is 122, July 121, August 117, and Sept 116 so its highly unlikely. But im sure we will get our fair share of 110+ and 115 weather.

I hope so. It's only a couple degrees hotter than their average yearly max.

No, seeing as 122 F is the record high.

No, not this year. Phoenix has had its chance. The Sonoran Desert annual monsoon will kick in shortly if it hasn't done so already. That will put a cap on any all time record breaking max temperatures for this year.

115 (46.1) is a pretty good bet; 118 (48.5 or so) is pushing the envelope and 122 (50) ain't gonna happen.

Wait until next year.....
