Agreed, but public sector unions often get in the way of policy making.

I don't think legalized prostitution would pose a great harm to the general public. Legalized prostitution would be a regulated activity, not the dangerous underground free-for-all it is now.
Of course there would be a lot of harm caused. If you had a daughter, would you want her to grow up to be a prostitute? Any nation that accepts such a thing is fundamentally sick and valueless: qualities that are inimical to the long-term survival of a nation.

When we have drier than usual summers, water gets rationed and you can be fined for watering gardens or washing your car. Everybody should be able to access water, and that's not possible if someone is buying it all and wasting it on a lawn, which will grow back in the winter.

Oh god, all my friends are going out tomorrow night and I am so tempted to go.. although I have work the next day at 11am so will have to be up for 9:30am. I did this last week and I woke up feeling awful, I was most likely still drunk whilst driving to work as well which I do not like doing.. should I go?

Yeah, go. But on these conditions: eat a low-salt meal like 30 mins before you start drinking. While with a full belly it will take a while to the alcohol to gain effect, but drink heavily, but stay with beer or mild drinks. No shots like Jäger. You also mustn't eat any peanuts, crisps or anything containing much salt except a few. Regardless on your condition, full stop at 23:00-23:30, and just go with the level of drunkenness you've gained and drink water. Or soda without caffeine. This gives you 10 full hours sobering up, and will destroy 10 0,33 beers during that time. Before you go to sleep, drink at least a pint of water and eat something, like a sandwich. And why not take a headache pill just before you sleep (to gain the max effect while you're already hitting the REM stage). Do you use vitamin supplements in the winter? If you do have leftovers, take one.

Demands a bit of discipline, but you should be relatively fine in the morning.

It will be hard for me to stop drinking at 23:00-23:30 but I'll give it a go.. I will post the results on Thursday at some point I guess!

Yeah I know. But you still have to resist the urge. Ok, you can go to 24, maybe 00:30, but as we binge drinkers know, the more drunk you'll get, the more the idea that "well no point stopping anymore, let's go all in and hope for the best" will gain control, and you'll still feel awful in the morning. So prepare yourself with stopping drinking at midnight, resist the temptation, EAT something, and you still have a nice evening out with the lads but feel at least acceptable in the morning. Another plus is that at 02-03 you start slowly to sober up, and just can't stand anymore your friends' drunken stories, so it's more motivating to call it an end at a decent hour.
