Even after sunrise it doesn't look enjoyable for the football rivalry game tomorrow in Jacksonville. Not warming up much and wind advisory issued.
"Saturday will be blustery and chilly with highs struggling to near 60 and falling through the 50s for the big Georgia-Florida game. Wind gusts of 30-40 mph will continue until kickoff and then the wind will slowly ease up during the game so that by the final whistle wind gusts will be in the 10-20 mph range. This will make it feel like the 40s."
I wouldn't be too surprised if Archbold Biological Station records a freeze Sunday morning. It's on the Lake Wales Ridge, a high and dry sandy ridge that always records lower temps than the area around it. The difference is often as much as 10F just because of the soil.
Rainfall elsewhere is expected to be between a quarter-inch and three-quarters of an inch for most of the rest of the affected region.
National Weather Service specialist Stuart Seto said Los Angeles will be on the low end with only about a quarter-inch of rain. But even that amount is more than the area has had in months.
“Everyone should be prepared to bundle up and have some kind of umbrella,” Seto said.
