If Bandung really has 3000 sunshine hours it ranks as one of the very best climates on earth IMO. Beautiful climate - consistently warm without the excessive heat and humidity of lowland tropical climates.

Wow, Bandung is better on every account imo, especially if these sunshine stats are correct. Pretty much ideal for a seasonless climate.

Bandung by miles, Pekanbaru is closer to the equator so its much more hotter, beside who doesn't like Bandung (i do), the higher altitude is nice get away from super hot Jakarta :P

I went for Bandung for the lower humidity and temperatures - didn't think it would be so one-sided though!

Bandung has a really nice climate...perfect amount of warmth and humidity for me.

I choose Bandung because:

-I don't like heat! The temps in Bandung are far better
-I like a big differences between min and max temps
-Bandung has more sunshine and less rain.
-Bandung has cool nights

I also choose Bandung. Looks like a good climate with comfortable (albeit boring) temperatures, and the rainfall is just perfect.
