Yes, July ends up officially cooler than June. Suspected it but just now got around to checking for sure. Also happened in 2009, before that not since 1947. Here is how our crazy year has looked so far:

Also did Daytona Beach, just because. July was simply spectacular there!

Yeah I think I can live without breaking -20C

Funny thing is I was in Daytona for one week in January and experienced both the absolute min and absolute max. The 84F was glorious though.

Unfortunately I can only dream of such a beautiful January day

14C and cloudy is about as good a day we will get in an average January

But you probably wouldn't have liked it as the dew point reached 21C LOL.

Here's the Summary of July 2014 from Bremerhaven first table our official station, second table my own weather station:

Temperature was 4 K above our longterm average, which makes 2014 one of the warmest July, but have to check the stats first. Rainfall was about longterm average at my station and slightly above offi cially. Also included the sunshine hours for our official station also here slightly more sunshine than average. Really outstanding were also the eight days were thunder was heard (average per month is about 4 days).

Was a good month! Rate it a 9 since some days were quite muggy and the nights could have been maybe one or two degrees cooler. But otherwise i don't have much to complain.

And the month en detail:

July was 1.1ºC below average
Precipitation exactly 1mm above average.

In Lisbon

In both locations January/February precipitation was well above average, while the march/may period was particularly dry.
