Nothing like that here, the lows were just too low.

2003? seems like we missed out on the most of that heat. gothenburg averaged 19.4C for that month.
can add a new all-time record from vinga also - a lighthouse 15km west of the city in the outer archipelago. vinga had 20.1C for july mean, beating the old record 20.0C. measurements go back to 1879.
July 2014 has been the record coldest and by far the worst July month in recent history for my city.
Unsettled, extremely rainy, cloudy, windy and notably cool (average mean of only 21.5°C, similar to June!). Herp de derp.
At the airport (comparison to 1971-2000 averages)

Wow.. and all that rain in summer as well for a med climate!
Here are the numbers for Hyslop Field, Corvallis, Oregon's official weather station:
Ave Max, 86.4; 5 (2.8) above 30 year mean
Ave Min, 54.9; 2.9 (1.5) above 30 year mean

Precipitation 0.63 in (~15 mm) .10 above 30 year mean
This was the warmest July since 1941 and the second ever. We had consistent heat right from the beginning. Consistent was the operative word here; the highest we managed to get was 97 (36.something). Since 1889, we have had six Julys and one August with average temperatures of 70 degrees or better. This one was the only one where we didn't see at least one 100 degree reading. We were also unusually humid with readings approaching 40%. Don't laugh, those are exceptionally high values for this part of the world this time of year.
The humidity was evident in the high number of hazy and smoggy days. We had plenty of sunshine but it had a rough go shining through all that water vapor.
Sometimes it didn't stay vapor. We had one of our "best" thunderstorms in ages on the 24th accompanied by a lightening strike that blasted a 150 foot high Douglas Fir 5 feet in diameter. Took it down to splinters and bark chips and my house shook though I was a good quarter of a mile away. We had one other the last day of the month which was mostly a light show. Gobs of dry strikes and I fear August will be the fire season from hell.
It seems as a lot of the mid latitudes (40N thereabouts) in the US and Europe are seeing well below average conditions this July
That's because instead of the normal summer jetstream pattern, we are seeing a winter sort of pattern with the big S-curve pulling cold air down the middle of the continents.
Well I will take these.patterns every year if it means that we at the higher latitudes get better summers! Sorry guys
